ADULTS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS

Unaccompanied ADULT homelessness

  • There are many reasons that lead individual unaccompanied adults to experience homelessness or be on the brink of homelessness, including illness, loss of a spouse or job, or their income not keeping up with the cost of housing.

The Coalition is currently focused on a variety of policy initiatives related to unaccompanied adults, including but not limited to our campaigns related to:

    • The Emergency Aid to the Elderly, Disabled, and Children program (EAEDC)
    • The Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program (MRVP)
    • The Alternative Housing Voucher Program (AHVP)
    • Housing and services for unaccompanied young adults (and youth) experiencing homelessness

For more details on these campaigns, check out our Present Policy Campaigns page. See our Taking Action page to learn more about you can help us to ensure that everyone in Massachusetts has a place to call home.
