Organizations Unite to Restore Upstream Access to RAFT

Yesterday, the Coalition, along with Massachusetts Law Reform Institute and Citizens’ Housing and Planning Association, delivered an organizational sign-on letter to the Legislature, Governor, and key Baker Administration officials to eliminate the notice to quit requirement in the Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) homelessness prevention program. The letter, as delivered, was endorsed by 167 organizations and municipal officials from across the Commonwealth.

Since delivering the letter, eleven additional groups have endorsed the letter: Advocates, American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts, Beacon Communities LLC,  Boston Immigration Justice and Accompaniment Network, Elder Services of Worcester Area, Families for Justice as Healing, Greening Greenfield, New Lynn Coalition, Prisoners’ Legal Services, Solidarity Lowell, and Winter Walk.
